i heart [Monte Negro]

I am really feeling Monte Negro's reggae-inspired, latin-infused album. The Mexican-American band mates were formally in a new-wave punk band that sang in spanish, so how's that for a multitude of obscure references? While their other songs rock out this sub-genre of a sub-genres (think: what if Sumblime or Pepper had a baby and had Marc Anthony & j.Lo raise it in the Caribbean) Give Me Love: No Lores is definitely a stand out single for me, even with its mediocre video pairing. It's entrancing, rhythmic melody with the lyrics bumps this to the top of my most played list.
Definitely worth a 99cent download.
