Out with Melissa the other night, the subject of the goodbye kiss came up.
You know, when you are dating someone and you kiss hello and goodbye. And how when you first start seeing someone, you know it's serious when you start kissing goodbye whenever one of you is going to leave for more than just getting the paper and coffee or to pick up the Chinese take out. I think in a relationship, it is somewhat of an afterthought, that you never really contemplate it, but sitting in Suburban Station waiting for the always-3-minutes-late R7, I felt really nostalgic for that kind of reassuring kiss.
I feel like for the past year or so I've had enough first kisses, I'm sorry kisses, and final kisses. Kisses that could be full of meaning without any feelings. I guess I miss the kisses that meant nothing but showing feelings for someone.
So I guess this is a shout out to all those people that have someone they care about:
Kiss that person goodbye whenever you leave and don't take it for granted.x
