i heart [thriftin']

So in an effort to organize my closet I got rid of one blue Ikea bag of clothes and drove it down to Greene Street. What they didn't take I took to the AIDS thrift on Bainbridge. Where I got some stuff to craft into gifts plus this dress from H&M for $4:

Then I happened into another thrift store around 6th & Bainbridge and got two AMAZING outfits.


This 1950s lingere is amazing, totally frothy cupcakeness. I can't decide if I am going to wear it as a nightgown or a going out dress. Accessories ideas?




The real purchase was this fierce 1970s red jumpsuit, complete with a red braided belt, and feathers and beads sewn from the neck. Lana suggested I wear some gold boots with the pants tucked in, I'm thinking shoes like Heidi Montag wore on Letterman last night (and yes her outfit is fugly and her stylist should be fired):


I think I should go back to the store for the lepoard print belt with gold lion's head buckle to make the outfit.
Red is def. the color I am feeling this summer.
